Currently Employed by Connacht Rugby as Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Under 15s and Under 16s Development sides.

On designing and implementing specific physical activity rehabilitation programs for players returning from injury or surgery. Data analysis and designing programs based on that data (e.g. max HR etc) by assessing physical demands placed on players in game situations was a big part of my role.

Summer sports camps coordinator as part of the sports office team. Organising summer sports camps for kids. These camps ran for two months each summer and covered a variety of sports and also arts, crafts and drama. Duties included the employment of suitable staff, designing the programs for different sports and trying to enhance basic motor skills as well as providing a fun learning environment. I also oversaw the whole operation. The kids aged from 4 -14 years and we usually had over 150 per week to deal with. I had previously been involved as a camp assistant as being responsible for all aspects of Physical Activity.
NUIG Health Centre
As part of working within the Sports office as a fully qualified health professional I also worked with the health centre. A program was set up to provide support for students with obesity and associated disorders including depression, diabetes, high blood pressure and cardiac problems. My duties included life coaching, giving advice about diet. I also devised Physical Activity programs and assisted in carrying these out with people suffering from high blood pressure on beta blockers, bad knees, backs etc. I have also done personal training for a number of post op cardio patients who have had stints or angioplasty procedures done.

Personal Details
